We are the original, first and largest mothers-and-fathers group in North America, serving families primarily in Texas with a referral network of counselors and family-law attorneys who promote one consistent strategy: what is in the best interest of our children.
FER was originally formed in 1974 to assist fathers who were unable to see their children. FER now also serves mothers and grandparents who need assistance. Our organization serves every socioeconomic level, from the impoverished who cannot afford legal counsel to those who need help preparing social studies and psychological evaluations. FER involvement and referrals have helped more than 500,000 families improve the quality of life for their children.
Fathers for Equal Rights is designed to provide hands-on access and help for members with family-law issues.
FER Membership
Fathers for Equal Rights, Inc. offers two membership levels: full walk-in office access, or web-only access to our online resources.
Our Dallas office is open 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday–Friday and 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Saturdays. Includes access to more than 25 volunteer attorneys, six days a week, our audio course library, frequently asked questions, and “Ask an Attorney.”
